SUFFOLK Family History Society

MEMBERSHIP

St. John's Parish Church, Woodbridge

Membership of the Society is open to all who are interested in its objectives, which are to promote and encourage the public study of British family history, genealogy, heraldry and local history with particular reference to Suffolk; and to promote the preservation, security and accessibility of archival material.

Applications for membership should be returned to the Membership Secretary or Local Agent* together with the Member's Interests Form, accompanied by the appropriate remittance and an SAE or 2 International Reply Coupons, without which applications cannot be processed.

We can now provide facilities for members to pay subscriptions by credit card through PayPal. If you wish to pay by this method then go to our secure Online Shop. It is also possible to join the society through the Shop. [Note that currency rates in our Shop are regularly updated and may vary from the rates above].

You can pay your Membership by cheque, but please add a surcharge of £1.00 for cheque payments. Cheques for Membership should be made payable to "Suffolk Family History Society".

From 2012, we have a new membership option. Overseas members can elect to receive their magazines by electronic means viz. Email

Overseas Agents have done an excellent job over the years. However, with the advance of emails and online payments, their workload has reduced. It has therefore been decided that as Agents retire, their positions will not be refilled.
