The Mildenhall Rentals 1501

This book is a translation of the rentals for the years 1501-1502. The rental is written into three sections which describe lands held by the leasehold "at farm", copyhold "by copy" and freehold "assize rents".

"A rental of the lord's farms there renewed in the sixteenth year of the reign of King Henry VII and at the time of the venerable lord Richard Fouldon, cellarer of the monastery of Bury St Edmunds and the time of William Powle under steward there"
