LONDON DOCKLANDS with Peter Tatam

Part of the Thames Path follows the river from the City to Canary Wharf and beyond. It is an area that has changed beyond imagination since the Romans first settled and used the Thames to transport goods to Londinium. In time the docks were created during the height of the Empire until the river became too shallow for the newest ships and Tilbury and Felixstowe took the business. Then came the regeneration creating the modern skyscape that we know today. The talk follows the path and discovers places, stories and myths along the way.
